Halloween, celebrated on October 31st, is the closing of the agricultural year of northern Europe. In earlier times and continuing today are songs and customs to honor the ancestors, loved ones who have passed into spirit, celebrating wise magical women, remembering victims of the witchcraft persecutions, and divination for the new year.
