Fire Lyte is an author, artist, and host of the podcast Inciting A Riot, a show that dives headfirst into uncomfortable topics in areas of spirituality, social justice, and pop culture. Inciting A Riot was the only Pagan podcast named to Huffington Post’s list of 17 Great Podcasts for the Spiritually Curious. His first book of poetry, The Playground, was selected by Barnes & Noble as part of their #BFestBuzz campaign. His latest collection, while I wait to be a god again, debuted at #1 on Amazon’s LGBT Poetry chart. He lives on a horse ranch in the south suburbs of Chicago with his husband and their ever-growing fur family.
Once upon a time in 2006, at a science fiction convention in New York, author Catherynne M. Valente (the Fairyland series, Space Opera, Deathless) introduced herself to unsuspecting songwriter S. J. Tucker.
Soon after, they hit the road as fast friends to share combined book launch-concert performances across North America. These shared shows often combined art auctions and guest dancers or circus arts acts with live music from Sooj & readings from Cat, and they ran from October 2006 to October 2013, across road maps, train tracks, and many a narrative arc.
